Video has gone viral of a black delivery driver attempting to leave a gated community, when he is held against his will by two white men.
Travis Miller, a black furniture and home appliance delivery driver, was trying to leave a gated community in the town of Edmond, a northern suburb of Oklahoma City, when he was forcefully by HOA president David Stewart and his gang.
When David Stewart, blocked Miller’s path with his car and asked him what he was doing on the private property, Miller started broadcasting on Facebook Live.
“I’m trying to leave and I got ‘super neighbor’ over here blocking me in,” Miller says. “If I go around him, I’m going to have to drive on somebody’s property and I don’t want to make a bad situation worse,” Miller says.
David Stewart is later joined by another man who is never identified. “All we want to know is why you’re in here and who gave you the gate code,” the second man says. “That’s all we need to know.”
Stewart later calls police to retract a report he filed against Miller after speaking with the delivery man’s customer.
Miller is seen crying while waiting to speak with police himself to find out if he’s cleared to leave the area.
The video has angered many as it is similar in nature to the recent events that led to the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
