PBS and SESAME STREET RESPOND TO MITT ROMNEY COMMENTS (Video)

Mitt Romney just caused a ruckus by stating he wants to do away with a network (PBS) that produces amazing shows like “Sesame Street” which many adults and even children today have learned from.

CEO of PBS Paula Kerger said:

With the enormous problems facing the country, the fact that we are the focus is unbelievable to me. We are America’s biggest classroom, we touch children across the country in every home.

During the Presidential 2012 debate, Governor Mitt Romney said he wanted to get rid of programming that relies on “funding” from China. He then specified PBS and Jim Lehrer.

I’m going to stop the subsidy to PBS … I like PBS. I love Big Bird. But I’m not going to keep spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for it.

Watch as Mitt Romney say why he wants to get rid of PBS and “Sesame Street”.
