NYC Cop Berates Uber Driver

Video quickly going viral shows a New York City Police Officer berating an Uber driver after the Uber driver allegedly made a gesture to the officer while he was parking his vehicle.

Sanjay Seth uploaded the video to Youtube titled “Police Abuse of Uber Driver in New York City – March 30th, 2015”. The incident took place just before 2pm on the West side of Manhattan, in police precinct 6.

In his description, Seth states the NYC officer was in an unmarked car, allegedly attempting to park without using his blinker at a green light. (His reverse lights weren’t on. Likely double parked without hazards on.) The Uber driver pulled around and gestured that he should use his blinker, “casually and non-offensively”, and kept driving. The policeman quickly pulled up behind them and the confrontation began

Although the officer did not identify himself they were able to grab his New York license plate: GSS 8891.

UPDATE:

New York City Police Detective Patrick Cherry, that was reportedly with the NYPD’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, has been placed on modified duty after his videotaped verbal tirade with an Uber driver went viral.
