Man Takes A Knee on White House Lawn During National Anthem
A white man took a knee during the national anthem at an event at the White House on June 5. The event at the White House replaced a Super Bowl celebration event for the Philadelphia Eagles after many of the NFL players declined the invitation.
On June 4, US President Donald Trump tweeted: “The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!” Credit: Carina Bergfeldt, SVT via Storyful

A second man also took a knee. The unidentified man also drew boo’s from the crowd after shouting at the POTUS.
The man who was booed after shouting @ POTUS also took a knee during the anthem but appears to also sing the anthem while kneeling, based on pic by Olivier Douliery/ TNS. (He was behind me & I didn't turn around until I heard him shouting) pic.twitter.com/qwuqpEXrOE
