Call it another modern day lynching. A video taken Monday evening shows a Minneapolis police officer essentially murdering a non-resistant black man in broad daylight.
The Minnesota officer can be seen with his knee on the neck of a George Floyd, as he pleads with them telling the officers he can’t breath.
A police statement said officers were responding to a “forgery in progress.” The statement also noted that After he (George Floyd) got out of his vehicle, he physically resisted officers. Officers were able to get the suspect into handcuffs and noted he appeared to be suffering medical distress. Officers called for an ambulance,” according to the statement.
However, CCTV video from a security camera shows a non-violent George Floyd being escorted to the police vehicle which would directly contradict police statements.
“My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts. … (I need) water or something. Please. Please. I can’t breathe, officer. … I cannot breathe. I cannot breathe.”

Minneapolis Police Chief Rondo Arradondo said at a press conference Tuesday that the FBI will lead the investigation into the incident due to the possible civil rights violation.
