Call it another modern day lynching. A video taken Monday evening shows a Minneapolis police officer essentially murdering a non-resistant black man in broad daylight.
The Minnesota officer can be seen with his knee on the neck of a George Floyd, as he pleads with them telling the officers he can’t breath.

The Minneapolis Police murdered this brother. This man, who, like Eric Garner, yelled out over and over and over again that HE COULD NOT BREATHE, was CLEARLY in distress. He is in handcuffs. On his belly. That already makes it hard for people to breathe. Then, for minutes and minutes on end, the officer keeps his KNEE on this man's neck – literally choking the life out of him. The people BEGGED for them to let up. BEGGED. Not that it would matter, but this man wasn't wanted for a violent crime. A grocery store thought he was signing a bad check. Yeah, really. A bad fucking check. Show me the white man that has ever been confronted and killed over this. People are hurting. People are out of work. I am so utterly disgusted and heartbroken that we live in a nation, in a time, where this keeps happening over and over again. Our team @GrassrootsLaw is going to fight for justice here and we won't let up until we get it. But here's the truth – JUSTICE would be this man this being alive right now. We are tired. We are angry. They are already LYING and saying they noticed he "went into distress." No, YOU PUT HIM IN DISTRESS and KEPT HIM IN DISTRESS. And this shit has to end. Call the Mayor, Jacob Frey @ (612) 673-2100 and let him know he needs to speedily fire these officers and call the DA @ 612-348-5550. That's Mike Freeman. Let him know he needs to file charges immediately. Follow @GrassrootsLaw.

Young brother who was on the scene sent this to @_stak5_. Now you can see exactly what all 4 officers were doing. I need all 4 names. They handcuffed George Floyd put him on his stomach, which is dangerous all by itself, then put over 500 pounds of pressure on him, including directly on his neck, until he literally died. After he died, they still didn’t let up. They murdered this man. It’s a modern day lynching. They had no regard for his life. Think on how they treated VIOLENT white supremacists who actually murdered people, then think on how they treated George Floyd.
A police statement said officers were responding to a “forgery in progress.” The statement also noted that After he (George Floyd) got out of his vehicle, he physically resisted officers. Officers were able to get the suspect into handcuffs and noted he appeared to be suffering medical distress. Officers called for an ambulance,” according to the statement.
However, CCTV video from a security camera shows a non-violent George Floyd being escorted to the police vehicle which would directly contradict police statements.
“My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts. … (I need) water or something. Please. Please. I can’t breathe, officer. … I cannot breathe. I cannot breathe.”George Floyd
Minneapolis Police Chief Rondo Arradondo said at a press conference Tuesday that the FBI will lead the investigation into the incident due to the possible civil rights violation.
Frazier, who took the video, wrote on Facebook: “They killed him right in front of cup foods over south on 38th and Chicago!! No type of sympathy 💔💔#POLICEBRUTALITY.”
