David Barajas,32, was found not guilty by a Texas jury after being charged with the murder of 20-year-old Jose Banda who was drunk at the time he crashed into Barajas’ disabled vehicle that was being pushed by his two sons David Jr., 12, and Caleb, 11.

Barajas was reported to have left the scene of the accident to go to his nearby home where he grabbed his gun and came back to shoot and kill Banda. If Barajas had been convicted, he faced a potential life sentence. The murder weapon was never found.
