Ronda Rousey Breaks Silence and Discusses Injury Recovery

Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey broke her silence and in a recent interview, said she was still in the proces of recovering from the massive injuries she sustained when she lost her title to Holly Holms at UFC 193 on Nov. 14 in Melbourne.

Rousey told ESPN in its “Ideas of the Year” issue, on newsstands Friday: “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.” Rousey still has stitches in her lip dissolving, and a few of teeth still unstable from the devastating kick Holly Holm’s laid on her.

Rousey’s shocking loss gained reaction to notable celebrities on social media. Rapper 50 Cent posted a picture of the unconscious Rouseyafter the Holm fight and then tried to blame it on his friend Floyd Mayweather before deleting it, to GOP hopeful Donald Trump, who tweeted that he was “glad” Rousey lost her championship fight because she was “not a nice person.”
