Jason Pierre-Paul Has Finger Amputated following 4th of July Fireworks Accident

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has reportedly had his right index finger amputated because of injuries he suffered during a Fourth of July fireworks accident.

Ian Rapoport believes that because of the amputated finger, JPP may be back sooner than people think. “Thinking of Jason Pierre-Paul is this: Cutting off his finger simplifies and accelerates his recovery. Could be back in fewer than 2 months”

According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports, Pierre-Paul rejected the NY Giants when they attempted to visit him in the hospital and refused their medical assistance as well. One could suggest his actions may have been in response to the Giants pulling back their long-term contract they were offering JPP.
