Louis C.K. Opening SNL Monologue

Louis C.K. hosted the SNL 40th Anniversary season finale and although the show fell flat, his opening monologue was/is definitely the talk of that night.

In his opening monologue, Louis C.K. described growing up in the 70’s with a “mild, benign non-aggressive” bit of racism and believe it or not, that was the most sedated portion of his act. Louis C.K. then goes to describe having a child molester live in his neighborhood. Louis then tells of how “Jean Baptiste” would lure kids in with the promise of McDonalds. At one point Louis begins to question what motivates someone to want to become a child molester. Louis says:

“When you consider the risks of being a child molester speaking of not even the damage you are doing, but the risk. There is no worse life available to a human then being a caught child molester and yet they still do it! Which from you could only really surmise that it must be really good… I mean from their point of view, not ours but from their point of view.”

The audience gasps and Louis continues with his set also jokingly noting that it may be his last ever appearance on Saturday Night Live.
