Dave Grohl solidified his legendary status after the Foo Fighters singer broke his leg during a performance and instead of going to a hospital, came back out on stage to finish the show.
Dave Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg during “Monkey Wrench” at Ullevi in Gothenburg 2015.06.12. While on the ground, Grohl explained to the crowd that he broke his leg and apologized as he would have to discontinue the show. Taylor Hawkins then played “Under Pressure” and during the middle of the song, paramedics brought Grohl back out on the stage with a newly bandaged leg and sat him down on a chair where he not only proceeded to finish playing the cover, but played for 3 more hours!

However because of his injuries, the Foo Fighters announced that they were forced to cancel their upcoming appearances at AFG Arena and St. Gallen.
“As witnessed by tens of thousands in attendance at Foo Fighters’ June 12 show at Ullevi Stadium, Dave Grohl took a nasty spill during the second song of the set. With the help of on-site medical staff who patched him up temporarily, Dave was able to rejoin the band to complete that performance.
While the full extent of Dave’s injuries are still being determined, it was confirmed at a post-show hospital visit that he sustained at least one fracture.
As a result Foo Fighters have been forced to cancel their June 14 appearance at the Pinkpop Festival as well as their June 16 show at the AFG Arena in St. Gallen, Switzerland.”
