Aussie gamer – Okan Kaya went into the record books as the man with no life, well more specifically he played the longest Call of Duty – Black Ops II match in history.
Okan Kaya played COD Black Ops II for over 135 hrs. and took him 7 days to complete. The the previous record of 120 hours, 7 minutes, was set by a Canadian team playing Sony’s Resistance series.
Some of these marathon gaming sessions have resulted in death like that of a Taiwanese man who collapsed and died after a 40-hour Diablo III marathon at an internet café.
During his record-breaking game-play, Okan Kaya exercised and switched sitting and standing positions. The Guinness rule book allows one ten-minute break every hour and the unspent time is accumulated. Okan skipped breaks was able to catch a little sleep as well.
Congratulations?
So, in other words he was just like any other gamer out in the world today? Sure, he broke a record, but the fact that you can skip your breaks and accumulate it to use in one go seems like a cheat since he used it for sleep. It isn’t exactly the same thing. I’m pretty sure I could do that if I cared, lol
I love how serious this guy’s face is. Imagine if he put that effort into something useful…
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a gamer too but, there’s a difference between gaming and addiction.
Agreed. I mean, I would maybe understand if he was makig some money off of it via a livestream of some sort, but I do not see that.
