Carrier Air Conditioner Lays off 1,400 Employees

Carrier Air Conditioner (part of United Technologies) announces it is shutting down its Indianapolis plant employing 1,400 workers and moving manufacturing to Monterrey, Mexico.

This video shows the devastating news being told to unsuspecting and understandably upset employees. The plant’s workers would be laid off over a three year period starting in 2017.

Carrier Air Conditioner is moving production to Monterrey, Mexico putting 1,400 Indianapolis Jobs south of the border in 2017.
