LaVar Ball Attacks Kristine Leahy on The Herd Live

Lavar Ball and Kristine Leahy get into heated argument on The Herd Live with Colin Cowherd.

Lavar Ball is being called sexist and is coming under fire after his most recent interview on The Herd Live when he and co-host Kristine Leahy got into dispute with Lonzo Ball’s father, LaVar Ball after asking exactly how many Big Baller Brand shoes he has sold. The BBB shoes with a list price of $495, with pairs signed by Ball retailing for $995. Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times reported first-week sales of both versions of the shoes and sandals totaled about 500 pairs.

During the heated exchange, Ball told Leahy to “stay in your lane.” Leahy told Ball they could sell more apparel by marketing to men and women.

“In order to have a successful company, I think you are going to have to have women that like your brand,” said Leahy. “Uh, yeah, if you have a women’s company. But we talking about Big Baller Brand,” Ball said.

It went one step further when Ball tol Leahy “I’ll tel you what, if you act like that, something’s coming to you.” Leahy responded with “Are you threatening me?” LaVar Ball answering with “Oh see how she tried to turn the words? I would never threaten you… I don’t know what it is, I’m not a psychic.”

Many also blamed Colin Cowherd for not jumoping to Leahy’s defense but Cowherd stated on his show that he felt if he had defended her, he would be contributing to the stigma that women cannot handle themselves.
