#GeorgeMichael Dead at 53

Legendary singer/song writer George Michael, has died at the age of 53. Michael died at his home in Goring, England and according to his publicist, Cindi Berger, he was not ill and died peacefully. It was later revealed George Michael’s death was due to heart failure.

The former “WHAM!” singer had a series of hits such as “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” ”Young Guns (Go For It)” and “Freedom.” George Michael blossomed into a solo artist, developing into a more gifted singer and songwriter with tremendous vocal range.

George Michael sold over 100 million albums globally, earned numerous Grammy and American Music Awards, and recorded duets with legends like Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Luciano Pavarotti and Elton John.

Michael was active in a number of charities and helped raise money to combat AIDS, help needy children, and support gay rights.
