Newly released video shows former WWE superstar and Women’s Champion Chyna, in a bitter cry for help as she battles with drugs and alcohol. In the video, a large bruise can be seen under Chyna’s right eye, the result of what she described as an attack at a liquor store. Filmmaker Rob Potylo spoke to TMZ and said that he believed that the injury was caused by a fall due to inebriation, and that she was too embarrassed to tell that truth.
Apparently Joanie Laurer was recording home video for a documentary that was supposed to be made. Back in June of last year, it was announced that director Erik Angra put together a Kickstarter fund for a documentary he was working on titled “The Reconstruction of Chyna”. The film would follow the former WWE star Joanie “Chyna” Laurer as she returned home to the U.S. for the first time in several years to begin her life anew. Since Chyna’s death at age 45, the documentary will be retitled “The Deconstruction of Chyna”. Filmmakers are currently targeting a Spring 2017 release for the movie.
“Joanie really wanted this documentary to be made”, Angra explained in a statement issued to WZ. “She was really excited about it. It’s about more than just her, but also about these celebrities and the things they go through, how complicated their lives can be.”
Chyna’s official cause of death is still under investigation.
