Alan Thicke Dead at 69

Tv icon and father of Robin Thicke, Alan Thicke has died. According to TMZ Alan Thicke died of an apparent heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter.

Alan and Carter were on the ice around 11 AM when he began having chest pains, got nauseous and vomited. An ambulance picked Alan up around 11:30 and took him to the hospital. Alan Thicke was transported to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center around noon where pronounced dead. Alan Thicke is survived by his 3 sons Robin, Brennan, Carter and his wife, Tanya.

The Canadian born actor most noted for his role as Jason Seaver in the hit television 80’s sitcom “Growing Pains:”, and Most recently, on the Netflix reboot, “Fuller House”.

Alan also was the host of various game shows, talk shows, and wrote several TV show theme songs for “Diff’rent Strokes,” “Wheel of Fortune” as well as “Growing Pains.”
He was 69.
