Kimberly Jones of Tennessee said in a Facebook post she had just picked up her son, Keaton Jones, from school because he was too afraid to go to lunch.
Stay strong, Keaton. Don’t let them make you turn cold. I promise it gets better. While those punks at your school are deciding what kind of people they want to be in this world, how would you and your mom like to come to the Avengers premiere in LA next year? https://t.co/s1QwCQ3toi

“Just out of curiosity, why do they bully? What’s the point of it? Why do they find joy in taking innocent people and find a way to be mean to them? It’s not OK.”
“People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it. It’s not their fault. If you are made fun of, just don’t let it bother you.”
The video had more than 22 million views by early Monday.

It is great that all these celebrities are coming out to show their support but at the end of the day, Keaton will have to go back to school and those bullies will still be there. They will probably be seething that Keaton has now become somewhat famous because bullies only bully because they are unhappy with themselves or something going on at home.
What needs to happen is for these bullies to be identified and proper measure taken. Whether that be suspensions or time in Juvenile Hall, you can decide. The parents of these bullies need to also be looked at and reprimanded. More than likely, the parents know their child is a bully but do not care because in reality, they rather their child do the bullying than be the one to be bullied.
Back in the day, bullying was a common thing. You wore glasses you were bullied, you were overweight you were bullied, you had asthma you were bullied. Bullying has created some of the greatest artists, musicians and comedians of our time but that doesn’t mean they do not still feel those affects.
People are too concerned with being popular and how they are viewed by their peers, especially when they are in school.
We must teach our children to accept those that are different. That being different is beautiful. If you see someone who is alone and sad, go over to them and lend your support no matter what others may think.
