Kathy Griffin Apologizes for Severed Donald Trump Head Photo

Comedian Kathy Griffin is begging for forgiveness after she posted a photo depicting her holding the bloody severed head of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

“I’m a comic,” Griffin said. “I cross the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. Chelsea Clinton responded via Twitter stating:

The photos also gained the attention of the Secret Service, with the agency tweeting late Tuesday, “threats made against @SecretService protectees receive the highest priority of all of our investigations.”

Squatty Potty, who pulled from endorsing Griffin, said it was “shocked and disappointed” and was pulling a new ad campaign starring Griffin.

“It was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for,” Squatty Potty chief executive officer Bobby Edwards said in a statement. “We have acted swiftly and decisively to demonstrate our commitment to a culture of decency, civility, and tolerance.”
