Newark Police Chase Crying Black Child with Loaded Shotguns

Disturbing video shows a child tearfully describing his horrifying encounter with the Newark, New Jersey Police Department.

Patisha Solomon recorded her son Legend, as he sobbed describing being chased by Newark police officers with loaded shotguns. The incident occurred while Legend and his friends were playing basketball when police mistook the 10-year-old for a robbery suspect and began to chase the child with guns drawn.

Luckily, neighbors Jackie Kelley and Annetta Hankerson intervened when they saw the young child cornered by police in a nearby alley. Later, police arrested the suspect – 20-year-old Casey Joseph Robinson.

Despite witness testimony, Newark police deny pointing their weapons at anyone. Newark police say they are investigating the complaint.
