Neely’s Grog Bouncer Set on Fire

A bouncer at a local Florida bar was set on fire after an angry patron who was kicked out earlier, returns with a glass full of gasoline.

The incident occurred on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at around 9:45, when Port St. Lucie Police went to Neely’s Grog House for reports that the bouncer was set on fire.

Reports indicate that the suspect identified as Ivan Louis Rodriguez, was kicked out of the bar earlier in the evening for not paying his tab. Rodriguez returned a short time later now armed with a cup full of gasoline. Rodriguez threw the gasoline on the bouncer but was chased into the parking lot by the bouncer as well as another patron. During the scuffle, the suspect ignited a lighter which set the bouncer on fire. Rodriguez then fled the area in a pickup truck.

The victim sustained severe burns throughout his body to include arms, face and chest. The victim was ultimately airlifted to a burn unit in Miami. Ivan Louis Rodriguez
