In this painful to watch video, a person in a strong man competition severely injures himself when he underestimates the weight of the atlas stones. As 22-year-old Craig Bongelli attempts to place the boulder on top the pedal-stool, he realizes he does not have the strength yet continues to try to finish the challenge.
The 360 lb. force becomes too much to handle and Craig Bongelli’s back gets bent backwards under the weight of the atlas stone. The man folds up like an accordion as gasps fill the crowd.
Despite its horrific appearance, Craig Bongelli survived the incident with little bruising.
