COLORADO BECOMES FIRST STATE TO LEGALIZE MARIJUANA FOR RECREATIONAL USE

The Rockies just got a little higher because Colorado became the first State to LEGALIZE MARIJUANA for recreational use. Amendment 64 passed making it legal for adults (21) to use Marijuana for not only medical purposes but anytime they want.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper said:

The voters have spoken and we have to respect their will. This will be a complicated process, but we intend to follow through. That said, federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug so don’t break out the Cheetos or gold fish too quickly.

Although Marijuana is now Legal in Colorado, it is going to take months to may a year before Marijuana can be legally sold. But Governor Hickenlooper must put in place policies for an individual to smoke within 30 days of the election.

Washington state also legalized Marijuana for recreational use.
